APRIL N. VANCE
Attorney, April N. Vance is the current Program Director for Legal Studies at South University where she instructs paralegals in areas such as Criminal Law, Family Law and Immigration Law. She is responsible for a staff of eight attorneys who teach on a part time basis and develops, manages and leads the Legal Studies program. Prior to this, she served as an Assistant Attorney General from January, 2007 through October, 2013 in the criminal prosecution division of the Attorney General’s Office prosecuting cases such as criminal domestic violence, fraud cases and general criminal prosecution cases. Before this she worker with the SC State Treasurer’s Office. Attorney Vance was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She received her undergraduate degree from Benedict College in 1999 and her Juris Doctor from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law in 2006. Attorney Vance came to the United States as an immigrant in 1999 and thereafter successfully filed her own permanent residence (green card) and citizenship petitions. She genuinely enjoys the practice of Immigration and Criminal Law and has filed petitions for various relief in these arenas. She has 10 years of legal experience she would like to put to work on your behalf in Immigration and Criminal matters. She was recently appointed by the Supreme Court of South Carolina to serve on the Board of Paralegal Education.
